For the right price, I'll share a way to set up a desktop application that you can link to your phone or any mobile device.

-Allows different scanning ranges
-Allows filtering of pokemon you don't want to see
-Allows alerts for pokemon you DO want to see
-Allows geolocation scanning or locations of your choosing
-Allows filtering of pokemon, gyms, pokestops

Google "pokemon go live map github" and click on downloads. Make sure you make a new Pokemon Trainer Club account. This map still works but takes a few minutes to load the pokemons but isn't perfect like Pokevision.
