Hi all,

just going through my old pokemon collection at mumsy's house. found out i have an entire box of base set booster packs, not first edition. and the actual box is unsealed. ALL boosters are sealed.


should i get them graded or not?

also have a few shinys, charizard blastoise venusaur, metwo and a few other EX etc.

some decent condition, others pretty used.

should those be graded too? or are they likely to be so low that there isnt a point in grading them?

If you aren't planning on selling them then there is no reason is grading. I have a decent stack of base cards including charizard but I haven't graded anything.

Never grade a heavy pack and honestly unless it's for selling I'd never bother grading anything. Or if you do entirely avoid CGC. I could understand grading your favorite cards though but anything else is pointless because most won't come back higher than a 7 if it's been out of a case for 20 or so years. I'd honestly keep a heavy/light artset of the packs and then just sell the rest as light/heavy but that's my personal opinion that or open the heavy and sell the light.
