do i have to find someone else to do it with or something? i clicked it and waited a bit and it said no gifts or w/e could be found

well u have to use wfc connection or something, there are other mechanic with the mystery that involve a second player, but nothing really interesting i think

havent got a rod yet and on the e4 i havent missed anything i dont think.

no rod in the main game, u get the super rod after defeating the e4, also all new water pokemon suck pretty much

only bulky water is jellycent and water ghost on slow pokemon isnt exactly what u want for this gen main game

You can't get water types anywhere in the game?

theres the water monkey, tirtooga or w/e his name is u can get from fossils, the water/ground pokemon u can get after the first badge i think

then theres like alomomola, sucks

basculin, prolly the best water poke this gen (offensively speaking ofc)

jellycent (best new water poke for the metagame)

and i think thats pretty much it, not that many water poke this gen, and all bad ofc, although there isnt a lot of place u can surf, so u dont absolutely need a water pokemon this gen
