Pokemon battling is basically just pre-hacked pokemon. The thing about it is, even that takes hours ev training them. Granted thats probably been fixed with better hacks in the latest ones.

I recall making the game only spawn raticates to level up my slay king's speed. Pretty tedious.

obviously everyone uses all level 100's, not that hard. You would be gimping yourself if you didn't use 100s/ev training.

pretty sure lvl 100 isnt required since you have lvl 50 bracket, and all pokes will be levelled to 50 automatically in that mode
and ev training has been made easier in gen6 with super training, also im pretty sure you can see your evs now

ivs, on the other hand, are still a bitch to get right

Can someone explain or link to something that explains what evs and ivs are? I've been playing pokemon since the originals and I still haven't a damn clue

evs are effort values and every pokemon you defeat gives a set number for certain stats, a single pokemon can only have 510 evs total and each stat caps at 255
every 4 evs is equal to 1 extra point in that stat basing on a level 100 pokemon, for a total of 63 extra with 252 evs in a stat

IV are Individual Values, they help determine how good the stats will be, each stat has it's own IV and they range 1 to 31 and the higher it is the better that stat will be
unlike evs these values are set upon encounter and cannot be altered
