everything u need for competitive play is on there, they even have a battle simulator u can dl, for both 4th and 5th gen

Well you can do it before but it's so easy to do after elite since you got the perfect spot to do it, basicly you go to the grass that shakes alot and ride with your bycicle until it shakes then go in it and 90% of the time an audino will appear, kill it and it gives mass exp.

What's the spot that's so good?
