Chespin doesn't look good, his head is way too small, he looks like a baby with bowsers body. Also his arms/legs are too lanky

My only problem with froakie is that his tongue is always out, looks bad

And fennekin is hands down the ugliest mofo i've ever seen

dissapointed with them all, going froakie

greninja's tongue looks baws imo, gives him a unique aspect and goes well with the theme, dont understand why people dont like it, my favorite water starter since gen 2
i also thought chesnaught head was too small, but then you realize he has an armor on (although i agree his head still couldve been a little bigger)
and well delphox, couldve been really good, but turned out really bad, she looks like a fox version of gothitelle (yes she, dont even think about getting a male fennekin)

/e: also im waiting on official art and getting the game to really judge them, cuz quality isnt top on the leaks

/e2: oh and the starter's typing and theme is really nice, knight/rogue/mage grass-fight/water-dark/fire-psychic

I'm still not 100% understanding the mega stuff.

So the pokemon needs to hold an item then once the battle starts he evolves?
Does this take a turn or is it instantly? and does that mean if you want him to hold another item he wont evolve?

or do the items work like a stone and once he evolves he is like that forever.

each pokemon that can mege evolve will need a specific item to do so
i think its instant and doesnt take a turn (pretty sure it doesnt)
its not permanent
you can only have one poke per team that you can mega evolve

i think its pretty much it

still not sure how I feel about this :(
I don't mind the whole mega evolve stuff but I wish they were actual stones like the old days.

and I don't like the type of the starts really.
grass-fighting seems like a fucking horrid combo :>

I think the dark/water might be my favorite out of them but idk.

so you can only mega-evolve a pokemon during a battle and the pokemon unevolves after the fight?

does it spend the item or do you get it back?

thats why its called mega evolution, and not simply evolution..
thats the point, its not the same thing lol

grass/fighting is a pro typiing, so many key resistance, esp to fairy
dark/water is kinda bad since dark is such a shitty type (basically a worse normal type except with more weaknesses and a weakness to fairy, but at least it got neutral to steel this gen) but water being the best type in the game, its turns out not too bad
and well fire/psychic is utter shit, but at least its not fire/fighting

idk it could last up to your next battle if you use it outside of a battle or something

How do you justify this?
I'm still a noob so I don't quite understand the logic behind this.

Because when I see this it looks like grass/fighting is completely shit lol..

resistance to good types, weakness to useless types, or rarely used types except for ice and maybe fire (and maaaybe poison, depends on how good the fairy pokes are i guess)
neutral to fighting too, easily the most used offensive type along with ground

meanwhile, dark gives a weakness to fighting w/o adding anything worthwhile, except for like an immunity to psychic, except this isnt gen1 so noone uses psychic for coverage anymore
