Anyone know where I can find a list of what new pokemon are good and bad?

Try smogon.

Type in google name of pokemon/smogon.

Example:

It has a lot of theory-craft and if you just want to see stats use serebii:

I looked into it, it seems geared more towards the competitive side of the game, not something I am interested in unfortunately :\

Do IVs still affect DMG or only type?

only type i believe, since the skill shows base 60

so i've come to find out that you're only able to guarantee a max of 3 perfect IVs when breeding
