no it does not
ivs are working as intended, perfect ivs is pretty much impossible to get, 1-2 perfect is what people usually aim for

if there was an easy way to get perfect ivs, then they wouldnt matter anymore since everyone would have all 31s

so then people would have to rely on the ev spread they choose move sets and battle skills...seems fun to me

if you want that, just play on a pokemon battle simulator

only reason you'd want to have good ivs is if you participated in an official tourny, else you shouldnt even care about them

the only reason they probably even changed original (gen 2 to 3 transition) was probably due to lack of ability to trade/transfer between those gens
changing it now would probably be far too much of a hassle

i do participate in official tournaments and I am not the only competitive VGC player to share these sentiments
but none the less i will still play just sharing my hopes for the future

but still i think that it adds an other layer of complexity to the game
also makes breeding actually a thing, if ivs werent there breeding would be almost pointless, all you would have to do is breed until you get the right nature, which doesnt take much effort at all

when i played pokemon, i didnt like breeding for ivs either, so i just played online

game looks awesome I'm going to pick chespin for sure.. Xerneas looks a lot like the Forrest spirit from Princess Mononoke

You'll just dafuq at the game for the first 5462 hours, then you'll be like meh.. thought it'd be worse.
