The thing about stacking dragons (which is pretty popular among competitive players) is that once the dragon check is killed (after killing a few dragons obviously) there's often not much left to check the rest. Unless you make your team somewhat dragon resistant but that's at a pretty high price.
You always need a tank to switch out in case things gets heavy and that's why I carry a Blissey and a Skarmory, btw a skarmory will tank dragon Pokemon like there's no tomorrow.
So let's say you get a good dragonite out, I'll slay it with a starmie by stalling for a while with recover and using ice-beam and once I see which pokemon you use next ( only if it outclasses starmie which should be the case ) I'd just have to switch to the appropriate tank ( Blissey sp. ) ( Skarmory phys ) and stall that pokemon down for a while..
