The in game currency is earned by winning battles and it is not easy. :)

Played pokemmo in 2012
I quit after about 2200 hours so I def put time into it
I got fed up with the incredibly slow development and lack of communication between players and staff
Now I play either an mmo pixelmon server or omega ruby alpha sapphire

Now mods are included into the interface which allow animated battles and etc to occur. Animation and other things involved in the gui is emaculate this game sure is coming along nicely and its FREE TO PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
