you mean the glitch? no point in any of that, you may as well buy an action replay and just cheat for all of the pokemon.
Seeing as if you're trying to catch all of the pokemon, why not do it legitly? and getting a mew now would be like winning the lottery!

I just use that glitch to catch Mew. I wouldn't say it's cheating because there is no "legit" way to catch Mew on the original PAL version of the games.

I also made a hack version of Pokémon Red where you can get all 151 Pokémon without trading (all the blue exclusive Pokémon would pop up where they would in a blue version, and the ones you leave out such as 2 starters, omanyte/kabuto, hitmonlee/chan, are game corner prizes)

Well that seems boring, the whole point of "completing the game" is to catch em all and trade with your friends and such. As well as since mew is an event pokemon, he is legit, because if you win a pokemon in an event from the people who created the game, they can add whatever they want and choose how you add it so it is a "legit" method of catching mew.

Well to trade your Pokémon you need an original cartidge, a link cable and a freind with another game... this is almost impossible nowadays. I made that ROM so that I could complete the game whenever I felt like it. And mew is an event Pokémon outside Japan, is the original japanese game you could obtain it without any glitches... I don't think I deserve less than the japanese so I obtain it without going to any event. Also, those events are only for original cartridges, I can't go there with my rom in a USB flash drive and say "hey, put Mew in my ROM".

I have an original gameboy+advance, so I can trade myself the needed pokemon (but pokemon stadium makes that alot easier) since no one I know still has their original poke games.
Ya, I don't feel like traveling somewhere to get a crappy Mew.
I'll just use the glitch. If it's in a game (without using a gameshark, action replay, etc to expose it) then I consider it legit.
