Ofc. I can traing a staller Pokemon like Umbreon via exp share, because it also gets its ev then.
But after that, still without attack move, I still need to use the exp share getting lvls.
Another option is the pension or the candy and also the Pokewalker.
But my Pokemon also learns attacks by lvl so it is quite irritating.

but i thought that when you battled online, pokemon were automatically lvld to either 50 or 100 with their respective evs
