You got lucky grass gym.
Turned out I needed cut, and since I replaced Zippo's cut with fly, I had no way of getting through.
Snorlax, being in my way and having nothing to offer, was counting his days. I was in no mod to capture such an oaf, so quickly dispatched of him and carried on my merry way.
At the end of cycle road, I tried to capture a pokemon that could cut. Instead I found a Spearow. I'd just gotten through releasing my Pidgey for no reason other than not liking it. No way in fuck was I going to allow you to taint my team by being captured. A solid Thunderbolt later, and I was on my way again.
The Safari Zone was my next stop. I still needed something that could learn cut. The first Pokemon this time was an Eggsecute. Caught it, because it is an interesting looking Pokemon, but stored it in the PC because it can't learn cut and I have a better psychic.
All was not lost on the Safari Zone though. Some generous man has hidden a crazy amount of treasure all through this place. A few entrance fees later I had amassed a supply of TMS, various healers, a set of gold teeth and a Surf HM.
How the fuck do you lose your gold teeth, outside of your home? What reason could you ever have to take them out?
That's all for now. When I next get time, I will continue my hunt for a cutting Pokemon. My last chance is east of my current town. If not, I will have to live in the Game Corner for a month or two and try to win a Scyther.
I also might try to track down someone who is missing some gold teeth. And slap him silly. Because that's all he deserves.
