Instead of hordes now low hp creatures frequently call for help after a turn, bringing in a copy of the Pokemon or sometimes a same level higher evolution. You can cause the SOS calls to happen more frequently with a cheap item called adrenaline orbs. You can keep the original Pokemon at 1hp with moves like false swipe, and then continuously kill the newly spawned mon every turn. After 40-50 they seem to be garunteed 4 perfect IVs, the other two cannot be perfect but can be 30/30 or anything else. As you chain your chances to find a shiny increase exponentially as well. There is also now an item you can hold on your false attack sweeper that increases shiny finding slightly.

where is the in game checker at? for iv and ev

For EVs simply being up the summary page and hit Y, it shows in yellow your current EVs and with sparkle the stat when it's maxed. It will all glow blue when all EVs are used up.

For IVs beat the game and gain access to this gens battle tower, a man at the front desk gives you IV access and it is easily usable inside your PC, it's fantastic. Can just scroll through your boxes seeing them all like a summary page.

Oh?? Sounds interesting how long does ev training take now?? Is it remotely as fast as horde battles were?? I liked ev training 4 mons in 10 mins lol

So for example I am looking at my Gabite
He has yellow HP, Attack, Special Attack, and Defense
Special Defense and Speed are not yellow..
This means the stats in yellow will be the highest stats? or will grow the fastest?


That sucks I have to beat the game so see the IV. I have been breeding and stock piling Eevee for an all Eevee evolution line up. I just need to know which ones are worth evolving.



Is there optimal stats for each pokemon? Should my Arcanine be focused on Attack qualities? Or is it just preference based on the moves I pick and what I want him to do?

Are sun/moon worth buying a 3ds for? Haven't played a pokemon game other than Go since Silver/gold

It's pretty damn good. Actually has a story for the first time. Cinematics and all that.
