Sorry I mean dratini candy. If you catch a dratini, dragonair, or dragonite, you get 3 dratini candy (doesn't matter which you catch). So if you already have all the dragonites you want, you're better off catching dratini.

You need 25 to make a dragonair, and 100 to make a dragonite out of a dragonair.

25 dratini candy to evolve to dragonair

100 dragonair candy to evolve to dragonite? = 33 dragonair = 825 dratini candy

Nooooo.

There's no such thing as dragonair candy. Just dratini candy. If you catch a dratini, dragonair, or dragonite, you will get 3 dratini candy. You catch a dragonite, you get 3 *dratini* candy.

Let's say you have a charmeleon. You need 100 *charmander* candies to make a charizard. To power up that charizard, you need *charmander* candy.

If you catch an ivysaur, you get bulbasaur candy.

Be sure to take the one with the highest IV, that one will get the highest CP You can use an IV calculator for that.
