First, find me a single competitive player that doesn't use PokeGen to create teams. Second, find me an article where Nintendo has stated they don't like legitimate Pokemon. Third, do what you like, and also realize that NINETY-NINE PERCENT of the Pokemon on this website are SV hatched AND cloned and re-traded. You have some type of strange moral issue with one, but not the other. Get over yourself and stop trying to play both sides of the ball game.

I played at nationals 2 years running, all with pokemon I bred and trained myself, I don't buy my pokemon, I have my own.

Rofl this is the most painfully ignorant post. I fail to see how stating opposing thoughts makes him "look stupid". If your point is to simply say that there is a great deal of hacked pokèmon out there, than just say that. Don't blindly accuse people selling on here of hacking and using pokegen. For all you know they spent 100s of hours breeding to get each and every poke they have for sale. Given that this is a gaming forum it is somewhat safe to assume that most people on here have a fairly good understanding of the games they are spending fg on. Although your initial point may have been a good and friendly one, the subsequent diarrhea that has been evacuated from your mouth to this thread is cringe worthy.

That's not stating opposing thoughts. That is trying to call your opinion fact and then cover your ass when you can't back up what you've said. I didn't accuse a single person of using PokeGen on here, have you even read the thread? The reason I posted this entire thread was to show people that PokeGen existed, and the people who are selling are overcharging and essentially trying to scam others using this ignorance. You're damn right I'm going to defend myself when someone comes in here and tries to dispute everything I said and they have no evidence beyond word of mouth and what they think of on the spot.

If you have bought ONE Pokémon with Forum Gold, you aren't playing legit. May as well go all out.

Alot of people don't like raising Pokémon, they like battling. Competitively.
Now, how do you plan to compete with someone when you just spent 2 weeks trying to breed the perfect team, only to realize half the guys you picked aren't helping your team very much.
Spend another week trying to get that team together, just to get a different teambuilding idea. Maybe you want to play pure defense and your last team was pure offense.
Maybe you wanna try a full-on troll team (Prankster - Thunderwave/Swagger/Substitute/Foul Play).
Maybe you see something else while playing competitively that you wanna try.

It's just A TON of work to perfect your team, when you could have it all in minutes.
