Did Food just admit that OP is his alt and this post's purpose was to drive up his own prices and clear lowballs?

Listing it for 100,000 FG obviously worked because it stopped people from PMing me to buy the shiny version for such a little amount for 300 to 500 FG.

As for buying it off-site with real money, the ratio isn't worth it. 10,000 FG ($300) to grind Go Battle League. What happens if you don't get the first season? You have to repeat the entire finger tapping spammage all over again for next season. The price is going to compound and increase over each season. If it takes you 5 seasons to get it, I highly doubt you would sell Shiny Libre Pikachu for only 10k FG. 1 Season is about 3 months so 5 seasons is about 1 and 1/4 of a year. If you were considered unlucky and it takes you 12 seasons to get it, at this point, you're probably going to keep your prized trophy rather than sell it because it took 3 years to get it.

If you wanted to fill your Pokedex by using real money, you could do that if you wanted to. The difference here is I don't charge a restocking and refunding fee. If you decided you needed your $300 back for whatever reason, the seller isn't going to give you a full refund back because the payment system charges a percent cost to do a refund. This trend started during COVID pandemic and is still active. They usually include the restocking fee with it to prevent you from demanding a refund. If you were successful in getting a refund, you're looking at getting back about $200 to $250.

Everyone has a different perceived value. There are people on d2jsp with Shiny Level 1 Legendary and Shiny Level 1 baby Pokemon who offer to sell me their exotic Pokemon to me for anywhere from 5,000 to 100,000 FG. Since I'm not into collecting Shiny Level 1 Pokemon, these Pokemon aren't worth the price. You can't really do much with them in Pokemon GO, since they get one-shotted in battles. For other people who are into collecting Shiny Level 1's, they would proudly buy it at those prices. To them, it's the ultimate flex to the Pokemon Go community.
