has there been any publications or reports of 'players' getting banned via use of third party programs ? I can't find any-- just curious on your thoughts of when or if this 'event' may occur

Just various reddit users stating they did with a few screenshots of proof. No mass bans yet. However, jh did say on twitter that bans are coming

it's happened in south korea, china, japan, brazil, and around the world yes. Luckily someone made an un-crack-able code that they will never guess nor will there programs be able to exploit it ever.

They are most likely to be banned on iOS, since Android you can hide your mock location settings in a rooted android smartphone with xposed framework install. I've been using this since it came out and haven't been banned yet.

Easier to bot if you aren't retarded at this point. Playing the game is almost impossible so I decided botting is the only way to go and if I get banned fuck it, all the game is is a slot machine of luck that tilts to the house more as you lvl up. Rather be banned than play this piece of shit legit

exactly, I wasn't botting before and now I'm doing it to keep up the control on the gyms in my area. By the time we get banned the game is going to be dead. I can even make a level 25 account in 24 hours with no stardust used and a shitton of candies.

I have three accounts. Two bot accounts. Trying to set up a bot again (currently not sure what to do). One will be a dormant former bot account as a backup.

My primary is just a spoof account, but I'm level 26 'legit' as in not botting.

If all three get banned I'll quit. If I can't spoof and they don't implement features that make playing in more places viable, no point in playing.
