Anyone have any informed UP TO DATE info on this?

I hear there is an attack speed limiter on gym battles for defending Pokemon. Trying to figure out what moves do highest dps on defence as opposed to offence.

I've read some shit articles that are based on no data mining. Anyone know?

Reason I ask is currently investing dust is best spent on good defenders. Attaching a gym is pretty easy as long as you're at 3/4 the cp or higher (lower works too just more wasted time).

That is actually a pretty shit source. I've read through it. It's just an idiot who is using face value numbers, without any insight into the mechanics (requiring data mining, or extensive testing at a gym with proper testing methods).

Right off the bat he says that Zen Headbutt is better than Lick for attacking a gym (for Snorlax). It shows me he has no understanding of attack speed. He says right here: "Due to lack of attack speed data, preferred attacks is mainly based on base damage of attacks (and personal experience), and is therefore only a subjective list of preferred attacks."

What an absolute idiot, posting about "best attacks" with no idea about attack speed. That's just dumb.

When no data exists going by personal experience does not make you an idiot, and he is right, headbutt beats zen.

What does that even mean? "Zen Headbutt" is the move. What is "headbutt beats zen"?

Lick does more DPS. Period.

defending gyms is not really doable...

unless we are talking about a level 8+ gyms with like 5+ 2000+cp snorlaxes... Otherwsie a half decent set of vaporeons can take it down like a joke.
