I have always loved this game, but don't really know good set ups.

Going to start over, what is a balanced team you recommend?

I want to start with Charmander
And use eevee in my team

not counting Mew/Mewtwo, I love this one:

Charizard
Starmie
Exeggutor
Zapdos
Alakazam
Snorlax

Just use Jolteon instead of Zapdos if you want an Evee.

Gengar, Tauros, Lapras, Golem, Persian, Chansey and Articuno are also very good Pokémon that come to mind. You can use Hypno and Slowbro instead of Alakazam and Starmie. Machamp and Rhydon are popular too, but I'm not much of a fan of them.

The game is easy though, so you can pretty much use whatever Pokémon you want if you are only playing the game (no Stadium or pvp)

If you want to easy it, then obv legends and o/p pokes like snorlax.
For a challenge just use the first pokes you run into basicly.

i started playing yellow with my brother through pokemon stadium a few days ago

so far we got kadabra mew pikachu geodude mankey and another mew (we took this one from my brother's previous pokemon for hm's basically because he can have all at once so we dont use him in battle) mankey will be the next one to go

we're at the team rocket's building in celadon's casino atm

I used charizard, dragonite, vaporeon, raichu, hypno and vileplume. It was pretty easy

Charmander sucks against Brock, so get a Butterfree/Mankey or Nidoran with Doublekick.

What skills are good on nidoking and exeggutor?
