Never given one of these a try, but read about it today and thought it would be interesting.

The rules I will be playing by are:
[1]If it feints, it is dead and must be released.
[2]Can only capture the first pokemon encountered in each new area.
-If it is feinted or flees, you don't get a pokemon for that area.
[3]All must be nicknamed to increase the heartbreak when releasing them.
Using comparatively easy rules to start with, but if this works out well I might try to incorporate limits on pokeballs bought and healing items/pokemon centers used. And possibly restrictions on grinding.

The Adventure Begins.

Named myself Nuzlocke and my rival Gary MF (short for Gary Mother Fucking Oak). Started with Bulbasaur since I don't see myself having a myriad of pokemon to deal with the first few gyms and I named it Leafy Fuck because I am immature.

Wish me luck.

[Edit] Normally I would be adding pictures of my adventure, but I have used up my current high-speed internet allowance so have been reverted to dial-up speed. And no way in fuck am I waiting for images to upload at dial-up speed.

Sigh. And the waves of disappointment begin.
I got Oaks package and in return for giving him that I received a pokedex and my first 5 pokeballs.
Filled with anticipation I stepped into the wild, preparing myself to capture the first thing I saw, with my heart set on a Pidgey. of course it was a Ratata.
I managed to capture her at level 3 and named her Rat Shit.

Through some very stringent and careful training, right next to "Mom's House" I have managed to level Leafy Fuck to 9 and Rat Shit to 7. Moving on to try find some better exp, and maybe a new area.

But good lord! I have never been so scared of critical hits in my life. A couple very close calls with both Leafy Fuck and Rat Shit.

-Note: There are going to be a lot of updates at the start since a lot is happening. I will try to edit where possible, but may have to double post if I am too slow.

[Edit]Fuck. I don't know if I should be happy or not. I went left of Viridian City, to route 22, to see if I could get a new pokemon. Was hoping for a Mankey, but a spearow or Pidgey would have been nice also. The first pokemon I encounter is a level 2 Mankey which I caught and named Alpha.

I should be happy because I got Mankey. I'm disappointed because I could have chosen to start with Charmander if I had remembered Mankey and his super effective attacks for the first gym.
Oh well. Fuck the Police, etc.

[Edit] Viridian Forest. Wasn't sure what I wanted here. Pikachu would have made me cry, since that would have been a super effective for the gyms that Bulbasaur was chosen for, but instead a level 4 Caterpie was the first to show up.
I named him The Used. Since they have a song abot a bird and a worm, similar to the evolution chain of Caterpie. If I can get it to fully evolve, I have high hopes for its survival. It is very weak in the interrum though.

Glad it wasn't metapod/kakuna. I would have hated only having harden until level 10.

Shit. Had to use the potion I found behind a tree in Viridian City because I forgot to buy an antidote for Viridian Forest.

That was a close call.

Long story short.
Between Vine whip and Low kick, I basically one hit all of Brocks gym. Didn't need to train so hard or fret so much. It's been a long time since I played.

On another note, congratulations The Used on your promotion to Butterfree.

[Edit]
As was to be expected, we see the demise of my first pokemon. Rat Shit, the level 10 Ratata. She fought well, but in the end was taken out by a surprise level 14 Spearow. Cool Trainer, I will get my revenge on you and your shorts!

The change from 4 pokemon to 3 is very daunting. I don't feel quite so safe any more.

With the farewell of Rat Shit still stinging, I was hesitant to go into the grass on route 3.
It paid off though. I caught a level 6 Nidoran male and named him William, after the newly wed prince.

I also bought a Magikarp, but stored it in the PC. Only bought it for the added pokedex entry and to save having to use a pokeball on one later in game. I named it Gary.

Oh, and the first pokemon I encountered in Mt Moon was a Zubat. Which I gladly feinted. I considered capturing it and then feinting it intentionally for the pokedex data. But I hate Zubat enough to not even want that. Ha!
I sold the revive I found also. "Wont be needing that!"

Various levels, a few near deaths, two moon stones and an evolution later, my team is now:
  • Level 14 William
  • Level 17 Leafy Fuck (Ivysaur)
  • Level 15 The Used
  • Level 15 Apha (Also taught Mega Punch and Mega Kick from the corresponding masters outside Mt Moon)
When William reaches level 20 he will learn Horn Attack and I will allow him to evolve. Then I will use one of the moon stones on him to make him the king he deserves to be.
I chose the Dome Fossil, because I don't remember what either of them are. Hope it was Kabuto, because Kabutops is one bad mother fucker.

Now on to Nugget bridge. I fear there may be a death or two here. If not the possibility of an oddish or abra awaits.

[Edit] Jesus! Just fought a wild Spearow outside of Mt Moon, before Cerulean City. It critical hit with its second attack and left William with two hp. Switched him out and thankfully he survived. Close call. Guess I need to get back to training.

Smell ya later Gary MF. I nearly had a heart attack when you sent out Pidgeotto first. Thankfully I had taught Alpha Rock Tomb, so he wiped you out in two hits. The same goes for your Charmander. I gave your Ratata and Abra to William for some easy exp.
Thanks for that champ.
