Havnt spent any gems, at 300 now want that 500 before my shield disappears I guess, builder huts seem nice

What exactly is war.. I assume it's raiding with a Clan? I think I'll stay solo for now and just kill pvm

don't worry about getting attacked. It happens, over and over and over again. You wont have 500 gems before you lose your shield but you wont lose any gems either. They are permanent until you use them. I suggest you join a clan, using high level donated troops from your clan castle helps a lot in raiding. Warring is essential to your raiding abilities. If you war, pay close attention to those that know how to attack well and try to mirror their strategies. Every TH level has its own attack strategies.

Oh and a rushed TH3 is nothing to worry about. Just level everything before you go to 4. It will make the transition to the next TH easier.

Working on upgrading the rest of my buildings right now, any specific order I should do so?
Also I figure I should arrange them all and put up some walls

Oh yes please. Walls are the make or break in your town. Upgrade them to their max and make sure you place your Clan caste dead in the middle of your town. Also put your Towh Hall outside so someone can snipe it easy.

Well since I'm clan-less there's no castle until I convince my cousins or some friends to join up and noob out with me (don't like strangers really)

Not wise to keep the town hall protected?

Also with walls, should I have multiple layers or a maze, keep which buildings most protected?

Just join a random level 7+ clan. You don't need to be active. There's lots of good clans out there. Protect your resources most of all, place mines and pumps on the outside, don't ever double layer walls, mortar and wiz tower will be your most important defenses in the beginning.

And the reason you want the TH outside is so the attacker will be more inclined to get the trophies as opposed as to destroying your whole town and looting the resources made available.

thats fine for now. just upgrade everything to max prior to upgrading your townhall. keep up on troop upgrades as well, make sure you hit them up too.

once you get 10k gold fix your CC and join a clan. Then ask for troops and they can help you out. even 2 level 6-7 giants at a low th prove to be awesome
