Its fun in the sense that you don't have to wait for troops to finish to attack or buildings to upgrade. Everything is instant so you can play as much as you want.
I also think the best thing about it is that you get to play against your friends head to head an infinite amount of times so thats a cool feature too.
Yeah I can definitely see the appeal. You're able to continuously battle without having to wait on troops to train. Not only are you able to see when clan mates are online, but you can actually do a friendly battle with them, which is pretty cool.

That's where the game will fail imo.
Well, I agree that in theory it might be flawed. However, while some people will hit this wall & maybe quit playing, I think, & I'm sure Supercell planned in this, that (especially initially) a LOT of people will be wiping out those credit cards & buying gems.
Which is why Clash Royale is currently sitting in the #1 spot for top grossing games.....
