gj mate, and the best thing to do before moving up to th8 is to max everything at th7 first, at th8 your first priority will be to get those lvl 3 drakes and lvl 4 hogs as well as king to lvl 10, you don't want to deal with anything else.
There is an article on 3star clashing that explains war weight and the smartest way to upgrade for warring, you should check it out

I don't know, Its just recently that im like, yeah theses aint producing for shit.
before that I was raiding so much I never felt like I was behind on farm, always had the amount I needed to upgrade want I wanted

They all lvl 9

I just felt like It wasn't producing for shit compared to active raiding. I though as long as I was actively raiding I didn't need to max them out

mistake ?

/edit just to note here I made this decision when they were at 3 days per ugrade and at that time, it was a lot for me I was getting most ups @ 1-2 days but now that im used to 6 days ( thx air defense ) 3 seems no biggy lol

Well you are pretty much saying no to free loot. 504k loot per day to be exact if they are not maxed. Pumps, mines, and drills should be the first thing you max and the HP points also help in defense too.

I laugh every time I see the enemy deploy poisons on hounds. Hounds are harmless. They don't hurt anything. Its the pups you want to save the poisons for.

You will have an excess of Elixir in TH8 because you still can't upgrade level 8 walls with elixir but in a sense of going for offense over defense yes. DE>Lix>Gold. Once everything Lix-wise is bought you can switch around Lix and gold.

Any good war clans out there looking for 3 members? I have a TH9, TH8, and gf has a TH6. None are rushed btw.
