Royals are very low. You don't need to spend gems to get higher level king and queen, you just need to farm better.

its alright, i made the same mistake and it seems like a common mistake many people make.

i upgraded all my defenses and troops and neglected lvl 10 walls until i had nothing to spend gold on anymore.


i think when i finished all defense upgrades, my heroes werent even 15/15.


now im paying for it, because all ive done over the last 4 months is upgrade walls and heroes.


now i have all but 65 walls to lvl 10 (rest lvl 9) and my heroes are 22/20

Yeah, it's definitely worth it to max out your royals before advancing to the next TH. I wish I had done that at TH 9.
