If you have mIRC skip to the bottom.

[Thanks to |Oscar|]This is an guide for how to setup mIRC and connect to D2jsps IRC Server.
Follow this steps.
1. Go to
MIRC download page,
download from any of that servers.
2. Open install mirc 6.16 with the setup file.
3. After that open mirc.. You will see this.
4. Press add.. Then set Description to D2jsp, IRC Server to:
irc.d2jsp.org, and let the rest stay as it is.
5. Now back to the first screen.. Fill in your name and email and a nick
you would like to use.
6. Now when done with that test to connect to the server.
It might be that the nick you did pick is already used then pick
another by writing /nick [thenewnickyouwanttouse]
7. If you now found a nick that isn't used and you want to use do this:
/ns REGISTER <password> <email>
If you do that your nick will be registered as your own nick :-)
8. Now i'll guide you to how to perform your irc channel to join the
channels you want to join..
Go to Tools > Options.. When you are there, you will come to the pic I
showed earlier but instead of double click server click on Options.
9. When you there press perform.. There you can put on the commands
you want to use when you connect to the irc server.
So lets say you identified a nick and put your password as "password"
add this line : /ns identify password
and for joining a channel write /join #D2jsp
Or the channel you want to use ^^
Useful commands to know:
/join [channel] That will make you join the channel you want to join.
/ns identify [password] Will identify thats its you.
/nick [newnick] Thats how to change nickname.
