Well, I'll put it as simply as I can.
Blizzard did not intend for a maphack to be used in any form. It is a third-party program that violates Battle.net's Terms Of Use Agreement (I've Read It At Least Ten Times.) The primary complaint of users is that they should be able to see the whole map, because it makes things such as Magic Finding easier, faster, and less dangerous. Perhaps, however, this is what Blizzard does not want to happen. By enabling use of a maphack, you take away all difficulty, especially if you are using a sorceress. Items are found too easily, because MF runs can be done so much faster, and without danger of running into large clusters of monsters. And with everyone having all these godly items, the D2 market suffers major recessions, because demand is drastically reduced. Furthermore, I also believe that the game should retain some of the original aspects such as questing. Many of my friends play private ladder only, and quest together, never doing outside trading or questing, just because they enjoy playing the game for what it is meant to be, without rushes, and find it insulting that since they do not use third-party programs such as bots and maphacks, they are at a disadvantage when it comes to trading items.
If you actually took the time to read all that, you might understand where I am coming from. I won't bother arguing with you, because I've stated my point, and arguing online is utterly pointless.
Note: Also, if I had "rushed" this individual, I would have made him participate to quite an extent, so much as to not call it a rush, but moreso a "helping hand."
