actually now i need vex/zod/jah/ber

it would take 4 items from the list (other than the axe and CB) to get a high rune (not VEX).

don't know what book you're going by, but whatever

I go by this. I can sell a high rune for 4-6 bucks (um, sur, jah, ber, zod, cham, ohm, ist). I can sell a 4 or 5 socket Ethereal act2 merc weapon for 1-2 bucks maybe, if I can even find a buyer. So why should I pay a high rune for something that isn't worth it??

Basing on ebay prices isn't a good idea...

In the item store here I bought a 4 socket Eth thresher for 1 D2$. That looks like high supply and very low demand. I also see 5+ people here trying to trade their Ethereal merc weapons and no one is offering runes for them. Again, high supply and very low demand. So, I see my ISO as a way for someone to unload their untradables. We can discuss this some more if you like. I don't mind the free bumps.
