its nothing impressive but im trying to get into college for graphics and webdesign and they require me to submit sketches to see my drawing level. i haven't drawn in years. this probably sucks but can anyone answer if i got like line and values down?

I am a Senior in HS but I am in all advanced college courses.
As far as your shadeing goes it is decent.
The sphere looks decent but the area behind it is all dark. It shouldn't be all dark.

I would lighten the light part of the ball ( erase ) and lower it slightly. The highlight is a little to high for the shadow to be so large. I would also pound in the black in your shadow. Those two things will give the image more contrast and really make it "pop". Overall great job.
