Hello everyone,

I am aspiring to get into true graphic design, but I honestly have warped interpretations of why a certain concept is to be used and what features of a tag portray that concept. My reference to "concept" is like composition, flow, lighting, blending, etc. Things of that nature, I really have no idea what tools to use to interpret these concepts, and I would really like to go from the ground up with it. Starting off with basic tag-making, then building myself up in both proficiency with the tag-making, as well as the conceptual part of things. If anyone could refer me to a tutorial, or give me some quick pointers, I would really appreciate it.

Well yeah, but I am talking about bare-bones stuff, not just tag-making. Trying to learn this from a conceptual standpoint, not just a "this tool makes this effect for this tag"; that doesn't teach me the concept of why I am doing that.

I don't think it's something you can just click a link for - it sounds like you're looking for some basic art or design principles, which probably could best be approached by grabbing an art or design course from somewhere handy for you - online or at a school that's close to you.
