be gentle, it was my first attempt, ignoring the color scheme and text, can you give me some tips??

like for instance how the hell to get rid of the awful white line around the entire sig...?

Don't save it as gif, it ruins quite a bit of quality. Instead, try to save it in png format and just go to layer - new adj layer - posterize and play around with the scale until you have it meet the d2jsp kb standards.

which layer am i trying to posterize? sorry i'm new to this, and tips on the white outline?

Personally I would remove the red glow around Light, and make a clean render with pentool of the picture. That white line around the signature is probably because of rough rendering, if you render the picture sharply you wouldn't get it :)

true i did just google the render, didn't do my usual pen render, what about the white line around the rest? i need a very in depth tut on this lol.

Ctrl + alt + shift + E will apply image on a new layer.
Put the adjustment layer on that.
