I've seen avatars before that have either a border and then has like i guess the "shadow" as if it's slightly raised off of the screen, and i'd love to know how to do that, and also i've seen avatars that people put their literal names under, like it shows:

Avatar
Name: YourNameHere
Group: Members
Joined: etc
etc
etc

I'd love to know how to do both of those, i'd rather a tutorial so i can learn it myself rather than having to ask someone to do it for me :) lmk plz and ty

/e this is my first sig i've ever done that came out decent enough for me to actually post it. whatcha think about it?

For your avatar, it needs to have a transparent background. This is done by saving it as .png.
Also for the raised effect, apply image (Ctrl + alt + shift + E) at the end of making your tag and give it a drop shadow.

Sig - it's decent for a first attempt, read some tutorials though, there's a link in my profile.
