Hey! ;)

Is there a way to rotate an object in illustrator and that the object keep his orientation?

Basically, i'm doing a vector clock.

And when i'm rotating my number, they rotate on themselve. So i need to manually rotate each 12 number.

Is there a way in illustrator to rotate 12 element and keeping their original position?

Thanks.

Not sure I fully understand the question but if you option (or alt in windows) + click with the rotate tool you can pick a reference point for an object to rotate around.

That's what i'm doing actually. ;)

---

Here an example.

The clock on top is what i'm doing. - 12 number at 30 degrees space each.

What I want to do is on bottom. 12 number at 30 degrees space keeping the number 1 with the same orientation.

Do what you did in the first clock you just posted then click on one of the numbers and rotate it in it's corner while holding the shift key so it snaps to angles. You should be able to quickly turn rotate them one by one. Or follow a guide like this.

Is there a way to do it automatically?

So I basically rotate the number once, then do Ctrl + D (Repeat Step) to get the clock done.

I'm trying to avoid doin' a rotation on each number :S

Thanks for your help ;)
