Would like to make a sig out of a picture i have

I have no idea on how I would do this....and also i need someone to teach me to crop pictures...

Take out your rectangular marquee tool
Select your part and hit ctrl + c
Then make a new canvas with the size of the signature you want
hit ctrl + v and your done
You can resize the signature by hitting ctrl + t and changing the percentage values at the top.

I think you are assuming he's using certain software.

What kind of software do you need help with?
