New to the site and graphic design also, I am a perfectionist and hale criticism to artwork and gen. info.

*What program do you use to start?
I was thinking like adobe photoshop ... but wich is the most up to date version? Last I used it I think CS2 or 3 was out.

*What us the common lingo around here?
example: WTB I think I saw like .. CSC? maybe I am prolly a little off

* Is this mostly drawing from scratch? or can it also be editing a photo someone has?

I believe the newest version is CS5 for photoshop

You could do a bunch of work in ps such as photo editing/signature making or didi painting
