Anyone know the button(s) to cancel a photoshop action?

(ex. you smudge something and it is taking forever so you hit the button(s) to force stop it)

4 GB RAM
Intel core quad 2.4 GHz
x2 NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS (SLI enabled)

I know RAM affects the performance, but isn't there a command to stop the action you just made. Even if I had 12 GB and I applied a filter to a large file it would take a while. I want to know the command to force stop an action (or if it even exists lol starting to think it was a figment of my imagination XD)

no it doesn't? That remark makes no sense, unless your referring to my statement about RAM affecting performance.

Anyway its not a problem to wait its just annoying having to wait for it to finish if I don't like it. Is there any kind of command for canceling something in photoshop?
