I wanna get started with photoshop/making sigs/etc, but I haven't a clue wear to begin :/. I've looked at some tutorials, but I'm a little...confused.

I know most of the basics of photoshop(I think), so if someone could point me towards some stuff that could help me get a bit of a move on, that would great. Thanks.

yeah the best thing to do for the first few times you use it is just mess around with the tools specifically the gradient tools, the layer modes, smudge/burn/dodge, and experimenting with filters.
