do u render images with photoshop, or is there another prgram that renders and u import into photoshop?

mmk, got the rendering down, in all these tutorials im reading, i keep seeing ppl say, plug in c4ds. i follow links and just find more rendered images, nothing that looks like what ppl are adding in tutorials. is there some place in gimp that has c4ds? or is there a site with them?
