I am trying to create an animation that will have 100 frames in photoshop.

Is there a way to have a mask be modified in each frame instead of having to have a separate layer for each frame that is shown/hidden? If I have to create 100 layers of the same thing this file is going to be enormous. If it helps, I am basically making an object fade to dust that is blown into the wind, so in each frame I want a little more of the object to become the dust.

So any tricks to help keep the file size down or not use 100 layers for animation?

Thanks!

If you are going to have 100 frames, it will be huge

umm you should be able to accomplish this with like 10 layers... just warp them in new frames if needed and change opacity and lighting

I know I could do it in less, but the problem is the assignment requires 100 of something, and I was hoping to do this. But it may be unrealistic I dunno.
