Okay, im completely new to this graphic thing

I wan't to make a trade topic, where i wan't to use some basic graphic.

Im using the program GIMP but i can't open to pictures in one window?
And i can't make backgrounds either

So if anyone have some kind of "completely noob tuto, i would really appreciate it

OK. Go here http://www.gimptalk.com/forum/gimp-tutorials-and-tips-f8.html. This is where i learned to use GIMP. Some tutorials are extremely easy and helped me a ton. Ask me if you need anymore help.
