...properly? Last few times I downloaded a pattern it came out too big. I wasn't able to shrink the pattern and the pattern came out like my sig. Notice the big circles? They are meant to be tiny. How do I fix that? I'm I downloading large patterns? I've downloaded 5 patterns and they all came out over sized. Help?

You can try Right Click -> Blending Options -> Pattern Overlay

There you can select the pattern and edit the scale (It should make it smaller):
