Okay this might be a noob question but how to I open an image in photoshop without creating a new canvas?

(directly inserting the image into my current canvas)

if from the web copy grafic and paste it if it allready on your pc idk if it works

That works but I look for a fast method to open files directly into my canvas :S ..
