what makes a good advertisement?
what about it makes it visually appealing and easy to look at/get me to click the image.

basically me and a friend and a couple others are setting up a trance/electronic radio station and my friend wants me to make some website ads as well as affiliate logos for other sites

just what some tips for what would make it catch and what i should not do

i could do them like some of my other older signatures using pen tooled lines and smudging but i dont think that is suitable for advertisements

what do you guys think about animations for the ads? is it too much or would it be more catchy?
