so i wanna make something like this....i've tried a bunch of things... so far its been fail boats




i want advice first on how to create the general text.. then the shadow and lastly the little things that go between the text.. like on the N.. thanks :)

open a new document with transparent background
create text: click on the "T" and write something
shadow: duplicate the layer with the text, edit > transform > flip vertical. Move it and lower the opacity
the things between the text: could be pentool or some brushes

also there's "jevel and emboss" on it i think, you can find it when you right click on a layer and choose blending options...

Your right about the flipping part
But he has a simple Gradient overlay, same colors, but opacity goes down.
