ok on photoshop cs4
when i get a image to put on the sig it always has the background with it..
also when i try to do text, it makes lines insted of letters

please help

You have to cut your images out if you dont want the background with them or you can get pre-cut renders from sites like planetrenders.net, if the renders have a black background you could also try changing the blending mode to lighten, this sometimes helps. Can't help you with the text though, I havn't encountered that before
