im using photoshop 5 and im a noob and cant find gradiant map i dont think its on their so is their a substitute that gives the exact same effect or am i a super and just cant find it....

it's the same as photoshop cs 1-4 i suppose?
in the lower part of your layers panel, theres a black/white circle. click it > "gradient map"
or you could go new layer > image apply image > image adjustmentlayers > "gradient map"
