I've never messed with PS, just got it wanting to learn, for general uses.

Where would I start to learn basics and such? I have not a clue on how to even put text somewhere haha, this is confusing, any help appreciated and I will most likely tip for help =] (I will have FG soon ;-] )

Test the tools, get a feel for what they can do, play with the filters tab. Then after you get a good feel about all the tools (You will need to use most of them anyways) then start hitting up tutorials, and in no time you'll be making images that will impress not only you, but also your friends, clients, or whoever you show them too.
