Get a render looking somewhat like these?

That is a render being smudged. You have to right click the blur tool and change it to smudge tool, then after that you change the settings in order for it to look like that.

Yeah but I can't find any either good settings or good brushes to make it anywhere near that, and I have around quite a big set of brushes.
