Right now I have Photoshop CS2 but no idea how to really use it, (I'm new to editing)

Photoshop is as good as it gets, and cs2-3 is preferred for making signatures here on d2jsp, so you're in luck:

go on youtube and learn how to use PS, it's best for sig making.
