I don't have enough time to scope through each and everyone one of those tutorials, so would someone be able to refer one of those tutorials to me that have descriptive and accurate details on how to make a good looking background? The few I saw in there weren't very easy to follow

well the more easy a bg is the more crappy it looks(mostly)
if i where you i would try those tuts you like really much(the outcome) again and again until you got a really simular outcome
video tuts help aswell becouse you'll see what the designer do and you dont need to search for the tools he used when you are a beginner

Ahck, I don't really trust the free programs, not the same qualities, I'd like something that produces quality and skill, not something just anyone could do
